Ridge & River Veterinary Services offers experienced mobile veterinary care for goats, sheep, alpacas, and llamas across Cherokee, Pickens, Gilmer, Fannin, Bartow, Murray, and Gordon counties. Whether you raise small ruminants for show, dairy, or meat—or care for a few pet camelids—we bring compassionate, species-specific care directly to your farm. From hoof trims and deworming to emergency field calls, we help your herd stay healthy and thriving.

  • Preventative Health

Customized herd health protocols including vaccinations, parasite prevention, and nutrition support. Hoof trimming and basic herd evaluations available upon request.

  • Sick/Illness Exams

On-farm diagnostics and exams for sick goats, sheep, or camelids. We evaluate signs of lameness, lethargy, weight loss, parasitism, or GI distress to recommend appropriate treatment.

  • Health Certificates

CVIs (Certificates of Veterinary Inspection) for goats, sheep, alpacas, and llamas traveling within Georgia or out of state. We support 4-H/FFA and small farm exhibition needs.

  • Breeding/Reproduction

On-farm pregnancy checks via transabdominal ultrasound. We assist with breeding soundness exams and provide care during birthing complications (dystocia).

  • Surgery

We offer common field surgeries for small ruminants and camelids such as castrations, C-sections, wound repair, and abscess lancing.

  • Emergency Services

After-hours and daytime farm visits for urgent medical needs—including down animals, labor issues, traumatic injury, or toxin ingestion.
